The Hispanic Music Laboratory is structured as a cultural and research network.

It is a project aimed at creating an active network of musicians, researchers, and educators in Castilla y León, organized around the following pillars:

  1. Research and Heritage
    To recover and study the Hispanic musical heritage of Castilla y León and its surrounding areas, with special attention to lesser-known repertoires.
  2. Dissemination and Visibility
    To publish research in a dedicated journal, as well as to organize lecture-concerts, recordings, and outreach activities.
  3. Performance and Creation
    To promote contemporary creation and commission new compositions, while enhancing the visibility of emerging performers through concerts and recordings.
  4. Education and Mediation
    To develop lectures, workshops, and talks for schools, conservatories, municipalities, and local communities, as well as to design educational and participatory initiatives in collaboration with other musical institutions.
  5. Territorial Impact
    To include a specific line of creative and participatory projects aimed at addressing depopulation, using music as a tool for social cohesion, identity, and cultural presence in rural areas.
